The Short Version

MachineFunded is a research publication with no accounts and no newsletter. Our research pages are free to read with no gates, and our calculators run entirely in your browser — the figures you type there are never stored or transmitted to us. The only place we collect personal information is our clearly-marked financing desk: the Get Financing and For Dealers forms, where you choose to share your details so that we — and the third-party funding partners we work with — can contact you about your request.

Information We Collect

  • Financing-request data (only if you submit the Get Financing form): your name, business name, email, phone number, business state, and the equipment/business details you provide (equipment type, condition, approximate cost, revenue range, time in business, timeline), plus the page you submitted from, your IP address, and a record of the consent you gave.
  • Dealer-inquiry data (only if you submit the For Dealers form): your name, company, email, phone number, and the dealership details you provide.
  • Analytics data: We use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use our site — pages visited, time on site, and general location (country/city level). We do not use this to identify individual visitors.
  • Outbound-click data: When you click a partner link, we record that a click happened (page, link, timestamp) so partners can attribute referrals. This does not include your identity.
  • Cookies: We use essential cookies for site functionality (for example, remembering that you dismissed a banner) and analytics cookies to measure site performance.

How We Use Information

  • To process financing requests: we share your financing-request data with third-party funding partners so they can evaluate your request and contact you about financing options. Those partners make all credit and pricing decisions, and we may receive compensation from them. If you consented on the form, MachineFunded and its funding partners may contact you by phone, text message, and email about your request.
  • To respond to dealer partnership inquiries
  • To improve our content and site experience
  • To analyze site traffic and trends
  • To measure which research pages and outbound links are useful

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share financing-request data with anyone other than the funding partners involved in placing your request and the service providers that store it for us.

MachineFunded participates in affiliate programs. When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate partners may use cookies to track referrals. This does not affect our editorial independence or product ratings.

  • Request a copy or deletion of any personal data we hold, including financing-request and dealer-inquiry submissions (email us and we will handle it; partners who already received your request maintain their own records under their own policies)

  • Opt out of analytics tracking via your browser settings or extensions
